We like it because it gives you the top 10 attractions, lodging, and restaurants based on travelers' opinions who have written in. We have found several great travel leads here. at www.TripAdvisor.com

The Culture Shock series is our favorite recommendation for cultural assimilation. When we travel, we always read the related Culture Shock book before we visit. It is not a sight-seeing recommendation series. Rather, Culture Shock books inform you of the cultural practices, body language, etiquette, customs, politics, and brief history of a country. We find them at www.Amazon.com and search for "Culture Shock" and you will find titles such as Culture Shock: Mexico, Culture Shock: Egypt, etc.
We highly recommend this site for international travel. We always check the warnings and travel alerts before we visit a country. This is also a great resource for learning what vaccines, visas, etc. are required to enter a country.
